DPD UK tracking
Next-day delivery with a one-hour Predict window and live Follow My Parcel.
DPD is the courier people either love or check obsessively — because it tells you the hour your parcel will arrive, then shows the driver on a map. When that precision works, nothing else in the UK matches it.
Track your DPD UK parcel
Enter your DPD UK tracking number below.
A 14-digit parcel number (some labels show a final check character after the 14 digits). Find it in the retailer's dispatch email or text, or in myDPD.

How your delivery day works — Predict & Follow My Parcel
On the morning of delivery, DPD sends a Predict notification with a one-hour delivery window. Later, Follow My Parcel narrows that to a live map showing the driver's position and your stop number as they approach.
Two things catch people out. First, the window is an estimate for your parcel, not a promise that the driver arrives at the start of it. Second, the map only appears once the parcel is out for delivery. Before that, the tracker shows the depot stages — collected, sorted at a hub, arrived at the delivery depot — and a parcel can sit between scans for a day without anything being wrong.
Is your parcel with DPD Local, not DPD?
DPD Local is DPD UK's local franchise network — same tracker, same phone number, different network. If your label, email or van says “DPD Local”, see the DPD Local tracking page for what is different: offshore delivery, freight to 350 kg, Sunday nationwide, and the 2-ID Pickup collection rule.
Your DPD UK tracking number
A 14-digit parcel number (some labels show a final check character after the 14 digits). Find it in the retailer's dispatch email or text, or in myDPD.
Example format: 15501234567890 — that is a shape, not a real parcel. Enter your own number exactly as the sender gave it: a single wrong letter is the most common reason a tracker says “not recognised”.
Your 14-digit parcel number is the only reference that matters; the retailer's own order number will not work in DPD's tracker.
DPD UK services & delivery times
The standard UK service, with a one-hour Predict window on the morning of delivery.
Timed morning delivery for parcels that can't wait until the afternoon.
The slower option, used where next-day isn't available.
Collect from a Pickup shop or locker instead of waiting at home.
Road express to Europe, with customs handling where needed.
Delivery aims are the courier's stated aims for the service, not guarantees for every parcel. Bank holidays, bad weather and busy periods (especially Christmas) can add a day.
Missed it? Rearrange it in seconds
The driver leaves a card — and you don't have to wait another day hoping. From the DPD app or the link in your delivery message you can:
- Choose another day — pick a day that suits you.
- Leave it with a neighbour — name the neighbour.
- Leave it in a safe place — set the spot in advance.
- Send it to a Pickup shop or locker — collect it yourself instead of waiting in.
What each DPD UK status means
| Status | What it means | What to do |
|---|---|---|
| Order placed / label created | The sender created the label; DPD may not have the parcel yet. | Wait for the first DPD scan — the retailer email is not proof DPD has it. |
| Collected / at hub | DPD has the parcel and it is moving through the sortation hubs. | Nothing to do; the next update is usually arrival at your local depot. |
| At delivery depot | At your local depot, ready for today's round. | Your Predict window arrives this morning. |
| Out for delivery | With the driver. Follow My Parcel shows the live map. | Follow the map; be ready inside your one-hour window. |
| Delivered | Delivered, with a delivery photo where available. | Check the photo, safe place and neighbours if you can't find it. |
| Sorry we missed you | The driver came and couldn't deliver. | Use the card or DPD app to rearrange: another day, a neighbour, a safe place, or a Pickup shop. |
Parcel stuck or delayed — what to do
- If tracking shows only 'label created' after 24 hours, the parcel may still be with the retailer — ask the sender whether DPD has collected it.
- If the parcel is at a hub with no movement for 2 days, check the DPD app or site for a revised estimate before calling anyone; hub delays usually clear on their own.
- If your Predict window passed with no delivery, check Follow My Parcel — the driver may have been delayed by earlier stops. If the tracker then says 'missed you', rearrange delivery rather than waiting another day.
- If it says delivered but you have nothing, check the DPD delivery photo, the safe place, neighbours and any Pickup point it may have been taken to — then contact the sender with your parcel number and postcode.
- To change delivery while the parcel is in transit, use the DPD app or the link in your Predict message — you can change the day, leave it with a neighbour or safe place, or redirect to a Pickup shop or locker.

DPD UK tracking — FAQs
What is a DPD tracking number?
A 14-digit parcel number, sometimes shown with a final check character after the 14 digits — for example 15501234567890. It's in the retailer's dispatch email or text, in myDPD, or on a Pickup shop receipt. The retailer's order number is not the same thing and won't work in DPD's tracker.
What is DPD Predict?
Predict is DPD's one-hour delivery window, sent on the morning of delivery by text or email. Follow My Parcel then shows the driver's live position and your stop number as delivery approaches.
Why is my DPD parcel not updating?
Tracking pauses between scans — a parcel can be in transit between hubs for a day with no new event. If there is no movement for 2–3 days, or the delivery date has passed, contact the sender with your parcel number.
Does DPD deliver on Saturdays?
DPD does deliver on Saturdays, but only when a Saturday service has been booked — it isn't included automatically with every standard DPD parcel. Check the service on your tracking or order confirmation; a weekday-only parcel sent on Friday will usually arrive on Monday.
Can I track a DPD parcel with just my postcode?
No — you need the 14-digit parcel number. If you don't have it, ask the retailer or sender.
