Evri tracking

The UK's biggest dedicated parcel carrier — formerly Hermes, now with ParcelShops and lockers everywhere.

If your online order came from a big UK retailer, Evri probably carried it. Evri is the UK's biggest dedicated parcel carrier — and the one most people still call Hermes, its name until March 2022.

Track your Evri parcel

Enter your Evri tracking number below.

16 characters — letters and digits, for example H044CA0012345678. A courier's calling card after a missed delivery has an 8-digit number instead, and that works in the tracker too.

⚠️ Waiting for a parcel? Contact the sender first

If you bought something online, Evri can't refund or replace it — only the retailer can, and only the sender can claim for a lost or damaged parcel. Senders who bought a label from Evri directly can use Evri's chat or phone line. If the label came from a third party like eBay or Parcel2Go, contact that company instead.

Your Evri tracking number

16 characters — letters and digits, for example H044CA0012345678. A courier's calling card after a missed delivery has an 8-digit number instead, and that works in the tracker too.

Example format: H044CA0012345678 — that is a shape, not a real parcel. Enter your own number exactly as the sender gave it: a single wrong letter is the most common reason a tracker says “not recognised”.

Every Evri parcel gets its own 16-character tracking code, like H044CA0012345678 — Evri says so on its own tracking page. That code is in the retailer's dispatch email. The confusion starts after a missed delivery: the courier leaves a calling card with a different, 8-digit number on it, and that number also works in the tracker. They are two different references for the same parcel, not two parcels. The other thing that surprises people: Evri may take a few days to receive the parcel after the retailer says it has dispatched — 'dispatched' means the retailer booked it, not that Evri has it yet, and Evri's own help pages say exactly that.

Delivery attempts — and how to divert your parcel

Evri makes up to three delivery attempts on consecutive working days, at no extra cost. Before the attempts run out, you can divert the parcel instead:

  • ParcelShop — collect from a local shop with photo ID and the confirmation message.
  • Locker — collect with the code sent to you, any time that suits you.
  • Neighbour or safe place — set it in the Evri app or from the delivery message; you'll be asked for your postcode.
  • Household signature — if the sender required one, the parcel can't be left in a safe place.

Evri services & delivery times

Standard home delivery
2–3 working days once Evri has the parcel

The exact time depends on the service the sender chose. The tracker shows the estimate for your parcel.

ParcelShop delivery
2–3 working days, then collect

Delivered to a local ParcelShop; you'll get a text or email when it's ready, and need photo ID to collect.

Locker delivery
2–3 working days, then collect

Collect from a locker with the code sent to you — no waiting in for a courier.

Next-day delivery
Next working day

Offered by some retailers at checkout; only the sender's service choice decides this.

International
Varies by destination

Tracked on Evri's separate international tracking tool, linked from evri.com.

Delivery aims are the courier's stated aims for the service, not guarantees for every parcel. Bank holidays, bad weather and busy periods (especially Christmas) can add a day.

Parcel stuck or delayed — what to do

  1. First check who actually has the parcel: 'we're expecting your parcel' means the retailer hasn't handed it to Evri yet — only the retailer can answer for that stage.
  2. If Evri has it and tracking hasn't moved for 2–3 days, use the help pages on evri.com. If you are the recipient, Evri will usually direct you to the retailer anyway — claims for lost or damaged parcels must be made by the sender, and Evri pays up to the cover the sender chose (free cover is £20 per parcel when booked online).
  3. If the tracker says delivered but nothing arrived, look at the delivery photo in the official tracker before anything else — it often shows exactly where the parcel was left.
  4. Check the safe place the sender set, neighbours, and any ParcelShop or locker the parcel may have been diverted to. The calling card, if one was left, says where it is.
  5. If you sent the parcel yourself, keep the ParcelShop receipt and the 16-character code — without it, Evri cannot find the parcel.

Evri tracking — FAQs

What is my Evri tracking number?

It's the 16-character code in the retailer's dispatch email — letters and digits, for example H044CA0012345678. If a courier left a calling card after a missed delivery, the 8-digit number on the card also works in Evri's tracker.

Is Evri the same as Hermes?

Yes. Hermes UK rebranded as Evri in March 2022. A parcel marked Hermes in the UK is tracked on Evri. In October 2025 Evri completed its acquisition of DHL eCommerce UK; DHL's e-commerce delivery service now runs as Evri Premium.

How many delivery attempts does Evri make?

Up to three attempts on consecutive working days at no extra cost. You can divert the parcel to a ParcelShop, a locker, a neighbour or a safe place — you'll be asked for your postcode. If the sender required a household signature, it can't be left in a safe place.

Evri says delivered but I have nothing — what now?

Check the delivery photo in Evri's official tracker, your safe place and your neighbours, and look for a calling card. If it's still missing, contact the retailer — only the sender can claim for a lost parcel with Evri.

How do I collect from a ParcelShop?

Wait for the text or email saying the parcel is ready, then take photo ID and the confirmation message.
