FedEx tracking

International express — 12-digit tracking, Delivery Manager and track-by-reference.

FedEx is the courier for when the retailer never sent you a tracking number. A 12-digit Express number is the usual way in — but a reference number or a DT door tag works too.

Track your FedEx parcel

Enter your FedEx tracking number below.

FedEx Express numbers are 12 digits, for example 123456789012. Door tag numbers are DT + 12 digits and work as tracking numbers too. FedEx Ground numbers can be 15 or 20–22 digits.

No tracking number? Track by reference

FedEx lets you track by reference — the order or invoice number the sender put on the label — plus the destination postcode. And if the driver left a door tag, the DT number on it (DT + 12 digits) works as a tracking number.

Delivery Manager, FedEx's free service for recipients, shows your incoming parcels and a delivery window on eligible shipments — even before the retailer sends you a number.

Your FedEx tracking number

FedEx Express numbers are 12 digits, for example 123456789012. Door tag numbers are DT + 12 digits and work as tracking numbers too. FedEx Ground numbers can be 15 or 20–22 digits.

Example format: 123456789012 — that is a shape, not a real parcel. Enter your own number exactly as the sender gave it: a single wrong letter is the most common reason a tracker says “not recognised”.

FedEx Ground numbers can be 15 or 20–22 digits — if your number is longer than 12 digits, it is probably a Ground shipment, and it still tracks on the same FedEx page. Old TNT numbers also still track on FedEx: FedEx bought TNT Express in 2016 and the TNT brand was retired.

Delivery Manager: hold it, move it, see the window

Delivery Manager is FedEx's free service for recipients. It shows incoming parcels and a delivery window on eligible shipments, and lets you change the delivery day, hold a parcel at a FedEx location, or leave delivery instructions.

If you missed a delivery, the parcel is held at a local FedEx facility — check the door tag or your tracking page for where it is, and Delivery Manager for the hold details.

Parcel stuck or delayed — what to do

  1. Check the number is 12 digits — a DT door tag number (DT + 12 digits) works too.
  2. No number at all? Track by reference: use the order number the sender put on the label, plus the destination postcode.
  3. Check Delivery Manager for the delivery window and for hold options.
  4. If there is no scan for 48+ hours, ask the sender to check the shipment record, then call FedEx on +44 3456 07 08 09.
