Palletways tracking

The pallet that isn't a parcel — an 11-digit ID, four depot-and-hub stages, and a kerbside delivery that needs you there to sign for it.

Palletways does not deliver parcels to homes. It moves palletised freight for businesses through a network of 130+ independent local depots and central hubs — and the person tracking a pallet is usually the business that sent it. Your job here is different from every other page on this site: check the 11-digit ID, read four depot-and-hub stages instead of a courier's scan trail, and — if you are receiving — be in, with a flat hard surface at the kerb, because the driver cannot come inside.

Track your Palletways parcel

Enter your 11-digit consignment tracking ID — no account or login is needed. This is the public Track & Trace portal, not the login-gated Palletways Portal.

Exactly 11 digits — the consignment/tracking ID, for example 12345678901. An order number, invoice number or customer reference will not work in the portal.

A pallet network, not a parcel courier

Palletways is a B2B pallet network, not a home-parcel courier — so this page is written sender-side on purpose. The reader is usually the business that sent the pallet, or a business recipient. Two things to get right before anything else: the tracker is the public Track & Trace portal at track2.palletways.com, which needs only the 11-digit ID; and the login-gated Palletways Portal is a different thing entirely, for members and account customers — it is not the public tracker, and this page never links to it as one.

Your Palletways tracking number

Exactly 11 digits — the consignment/tracking ID, for example 12345678901. An order number, invoice number or customer reference will not work in the portal.

Example format: 12345678901 — that is a shape, not a real parcel. Enter your own number exactly as the sender gave it: a single wrong letter is the most common reason a tracker says “not recognised”.

The sender gives you the number — it comes with the consignment or booking confirmation, from the sender, the local depot, the portal, or shipment emails and texts. Anyone with the 11-digit ID can track: sender, recipient, or the recipient's warehouse team. No account is needed for the public portal. An account is only required for regular business use of the Palletways service itself; one-off shipments can be booked as a guest via Palletways Online — but do not confuse booking with tracking. And never reshape the number: an order number, invoice number, customer reference or delivery-note number is not a tracking ID and will not work in the portal.

Kerbside only — the defining quirk

Kerbside delivery means offloading your freight at the kerb or driveway closest to the delivery address, on a flat, smooth surface at ground level. The driver unloads with a tail lift and moves the pallet with a manual pump trolley — no gravel, grass, cobbles, soft ground, steep slopes, steps or raised thresholds; no crane or HIAB; no unpacking; no carrying individual items indoors. Any help beyond the kerb is entirely at the driver's discretion. Flag access restrictions (narrow lanes, overhanging trees, gravel drives) to the sender before delivery day; smaller vehicles can sometimes be arranged but cost extra and cause delays.

Parcel stuck or delayed — what to do

  1. If tracking shows nothing, first check the number is the 11-digit consignment ID — a booking or label record does not prove physical collection. Ask the sender or the collecting member to confirm when the pallet physically entered the network.
  2. If delivery is delayed, check the tracker first, then wait for the local depot or account manager to contact you — Palletways says they will proactively notify you of an issue. Do not assume silence means nobody knows.
  3. If you need help, contact your local depot if you know it is delivering your pallet, or use the contact form on Palletways' contact page — always include your 11-digit tracking code. Recipients should normally start with the sender: the sender (account holder) controls booking changes, investigations and claims.
  4. If nobody was in, the driver will try to contact you. If delivery still cannot be completed, the pallet goes back to the depot and a re-delivery is arranged. Contact customer support as early as possible to reschedule and avoid potential charges. All deliveries require a signature or proof of delivery.
  5. If the pallet shows as delivered but cannot be found, check the delivery location, warehouse or reception, ask colleagues, then request the proof of delivery (with POD image) from the sender or depot.
  6. If a pallet is lost or damaged, notify the sender promptly, preserve packaging and contents, and photograph damage. For Palletways Online one-off bookings, partial-loss claims go in writing to UKonlineclaims@palletways.com within 7 working days of delivery; whole-consignment loss within 14 working days after the booked delivery date. Claims outside those windows are rejected. Account customers claim via their account manager or local member.
  7. If the driver could not complete a kerbside delivery, the usual cause is access: a pump truck cannot cross gravel, grass, a steep slope or steps. The fix runs through the sender before delivery day, not on the day.

Re-delivery, Book-in, and what does not exist

If nobody is home, the driver tries to contact you; if delivery still cannot be completed, the pallet goes back to the depot and a re-delivery is arranged — contact customer support as early as possible to reschedule. For P2C Economy home-address pallets, the Book-in service is the recipient-side rescheduling route: the delivery member offers flexible delivery days and times. What does not exist: lockers or drop-off points (a pallet cannot go in a locker or at a shop counter), a “leave with a neighbour” or safe-place option (delivery requires a signature and a person present), and — on any official page found — a recipient depot-collection option, so this page does not claim one. Hubdrop is a shipper-side drop-off (the shipper delivers freight to the hub), not a recipient collection option.

The network behind the pallet

Palletways is a network, not a fleet: independent transport companies collect and deliver within assigned postcode territories through a central hub-and-spoke system. That is why the official advice is always “contact your local depot” — the depot, not a national call centre, holds the pallet and arranges re-delivery. Founded in Lichfield in 1994, the network runs 130+ independent UK member depots and 450+ depots across 25 European countries, handling close to 6 million pallets a year in the UK. Head office: Fradley Distribution Park, Wood End Lane, Lichfield WS13 8NE. The cloud Portal is used by employees, network members and pallet recipients alike and stores ETAs and POD images — but it is login-gated and is not the public tracker.

For urgent enquiries. Palletways publishes no opening hours for this line. If you know your local depot, contact it direct; otherwise use the contact form with your 11-digit tracking ID. Email info@palletways.com.

Palletways tracking — FAQs

How do I track my Palletways pallet?

Enter the 11-digit consignment tracking ID on Palletways' Track and Trace portal (track2.palletways.com). No account or login is needed — just the number. The portal shows the pallet's live stages: at collection depot, at hub, at delivery depot, out for delivery.

What does a Palletways tracking number look like?

Exactly 11 digits, e.g. 12345678901 (a format example, not a real pallet). It comes from the sender with the booking confirmation. An order number, invoice number or customer reference will not work in the tracker.

Can I track a Palletways pallet without an account?

Yes. The public Track & Trace portal needs only the 11-digit ID. An account is only needed to send pallets regularly as a business; one-off senders can book as a guest via Palletways Online. Do not confuse the public tracker with the login-gated Palletways Portal, which is for members and account customers.

How long does Palletways take to deliver?

Premium aims for 24 hours from collection; Economy aims for 2–3 working days. Timed options include pre-10:00, pre-noon, AM (9:00–12:00), evening (17:00–21:00) and Saturday AM, depending on destination. International delivery to 25 European countries is quoted per route. All are aims, not guarantees.

What happens if I'm not in when my pallet arrives?

The driver will try to contact you. If delivery still cannot be completed, the pallet goes back to the depot and a re-delivery is arranged. Contact customer support as early as possible to reschedule and avoid potential charges. All deliveries need a signature.

Why does my Palletways tracking not update?

A booking or label record does not mean the pallet has been collected yet — the first real scan is “At collection depot”. If nothing appears, ask the sender or the collecting depot to confirm the pallet physically entered the network. If it is stuck between scans, contact the local delivery depot with your 11-digit ID.

What is kerbside delivery?

The driver offloads your pallet at the kerb or driveway closest to the delivery address, on a flat, smooth surface at ground level, using a tail lift and pump trolley. Drivers cannot enter private property, drive over gravel or grass, climb steps, or carry goods indoors.

Who delivers my Palletways pallet?

Your local Palletways member depot, not a national Palletways van. Palletways is a network of 130+ independent UK depots working through central hubs. That depot is also your first contact for delivery problems — have your 11-digit tracking ID ready.
