CitySprint tracking
The UK's same-day courier — book a job, watch your courier live on GPS, signed proof of delivery.
CitySprint is not a next-day parcel network. You book a job, a named courier collects within the hour, and you watch them on a live GPS map until they hand it over and get a signature. Tracking here works differently — starting with the fact that one number is never enough.
Track your CitySprint parcel
Enter the job number and the sender's account number — both are on the booking confirmation. A bare tracking number alone won't work.
There is no single public format. You need two numbers to track: the job number and the sender's account number, both on the booking confirmation. Enter both exactly as the sender gave them.
The courier that is a job, not a parcel
A CitySprint delivery is a job: a named courier, a direct run from collection to delivery, and a signed proof of delivery on a handheld device called CityTrakker. There are no depot scans and no “out for delivery” van round — the tracker shows the courier's GPS position on a map in real time, plus a time-stamped audit trail from collection to signed proof of delivery. CitySprint calls this system Pinpoint: a full electronic chain of custody on every job.
CitySprint is a sender-first courier. The recipient's route to information is the sender: the sender holds the account number, the job number and the booking, and only the sender or account holder can change or chase a booking. If you are the recipient and you have no job or account numbers, ask the sender or retailer — the tracker cannot look a parcel up from a name, address or order number.
DPD UK bought CitySprint in 2021, but it still runs its own same-day network and tracker — do not send CitySprint numbers to the DPD tracker. CitySprint publishes no official status glossary: the journey below is the normal same-day lifecycle, and the exception codes are CitySprint's own terms from its service standard.
Your CitySprint tracking number
There is no single public format. You need two numbers to track: the job number and the sender's account number, both on the booking confirmation. Enter both exactly as the sender gave them.
There is no example shape to show — enter your references exactly as the sender gave them: a single wrong letter is the most common reason a tracker says “not recognised”.
The tracker form has exactly two fields — job number and account number. A bare “tracking number” typed alone will not work, and a retailer order number is not a CitySprint job number.
CitySprint services & delivery times
The core product: Same Day (no specific time), Timed (a deadline to hit), or Dedicated (a dedicated vehicle — the most secure option for urgent or highly sensitive items). 24 hours a day, 365 days a year; 98% on-time.
Every day, express and timed delivery.
Express courier services across the globe, door-to-door, with first-flight-out options for most major cities.
Supporting public and private healthcare providers, including NHS work.
Sustainable vehicle options, from pushbikes — London's largest pushbike fleet — to electric vehicles. Vehicles range from pushbikes and motorbikes to small vans, transits and 7.5-tonne lorries.
Delivery aims are the courier's stated aims for the service, not guarantees for every parcel. Bank holidays, bad weather and busy periods (especially Christmas) can add a day.
⚠️ No redelivery round, no lockers, no collection points
Same-day courier model: one courier, one job, direct handover. A successful delivery means handing your parcel to your specified contact — or an alternative contact if they are unavailable — and CitySprint will never post a parcel unless you give permission to do so. If the named contact is unavailable the courier leaves a card and the delivery is re-arranged through the sender or account holder. There is no published number of re-attempts, hold period or self-service rebooking for recipients.
What each CitySprint status means
| Status | What it means | What to do |
|---|---|---|
| Booked / job created | Booking taken, courier being assigned. | Wait for the collection scan; the audit trail starts at collection. |
| Collected | The courier has the parcel; the time-stamped audit trail starts. | Nothing to do — watch the live GPS map. |
| In transit | Courier en route, GPS position visible live on the map. | Follow the map; same-day jobs go straight from collection to delivery. |
| Out for delivery / arriving | Courier near the delivery address. | Be ready — there is no depot-scan round before this. |
| Delivered | Signed for by the receiver on the courier's handheld CityTrakker; signed proof of delivery available to download. | Check the signed POD (name, signature, time) in the tracker if anything is disputed. |
| Card left | The courier could not reach the named contact and left a card. | Contact the local service centre the same day, or ask the sender to re-arrange. |
| Contact unavailable | The courier could not reach the named contact. | Call the local service centre the same day; only the sender can change the booking. |
| Incorrect address | The address or access details were wrong. | Only the sender can correct the booking — contact them. |
| Delivery refused | The delivery was refused at the address. | Contact the sender — the account holder raises any investigation. |
| Consignment damaged | The consignment was damaged. | Keep the packaging and photos; report to the sender promptly. |
Parcel stuck or delayed — what to do
- Tracker shows nothing or won't accept your numbers: you need BOTH the job number AND the sender's account number — check the booking confirmation email. A retailer order number is not a CitySprint job number. If either is missing, ask the sender — only the account holder can supply the account number.
- No update after the collection time passed: same-day jobs move in hours, not days. If the promised collection window (20 minutes for bikes in central London, 45–90 minutes for larger vehicles) has passed with no collection scan, call the local service centre (24/7) with the job and account numbers.
- Job shows an exception code: “Contact unavailable” or “Card left” means the courier could not reach the named contact — call the local service centre the same day. “Incorrect address” or “Unable to locate” means the address or access details were wrong — only the sender can correct the booking.
- Delivered but you have not got it: check the signed proof of delivery (name, signature and time) in the tracker. CitySprint delivers only to a named contact or an alternative contact, and never posts a parcel unless you give permission — so a signed-for handover exists. Check with the named or alternative contact and household members, then contact the sender.
- Damaged consignment: “Consignment damaged” is an official exception code — keep the packaging and photos, and report to the sender promptly, since the sender is the account holder.

Contact CitySprint
Customer servicesNo single national helpline — call your local service centre (find it on CitySprint's locations page), or London booking enquiries on +44 20 7880 1000. Customer service is 24/7, 365 days a year. The online contact form aims to reply within 24 hours (Mon–Fri).
If you are the recipient and the parcel is lost or damaged, contact the retailer/sender first — most couriers only accept claims from the sender.
CitySprint tracking — FAQs
What do I need to track a CitySprint delivery?
Your job number AND the sender's account number, both on the booking confirmation; enter both at tracking.citysprint.co.uk.
Why can't I track with just a tracking number?
CitySprint tracks jobs, not parcels: the tracker needs the job number plus the sender's account number to identify the booking.
How fast is CitySprint same-day delivery?
Collection in as little as 60 minutes (20 minutes for bikes in central London), delivery the same day, 24/7, 365 days a year; 98% on-time.
What does 'Card left' mean?
The courier could not reach the named contact; contact the local service centre the same day or ask the sender to re-arrange the delivery.
Can I collect a CitySprint parcel from a depot or locker?
No — CitySprint has no lockers or public collection points; missed deliveries are re-arranged by the sender.
Is CitySprint part of DPD?
Yes, DPD UK bought CitySprint in 2021, but it still runs its own same-day network and tracker — use tracking.citysprint.co.uk, not DPD's.
